Chris Estey Oh sorry for the confusion, I thought it would be immediately post with the book I was writing about. It was the Jon Ronson book about public shaming.

Jason Kirk Got it, Chris. Mainly, the rating is based on Goodreads assignments for the meaning of each star. Two stars = "It's OK," which is what I thought of it. I'm both continually interested in and ultimately ambivalent about Ronson's books. I read them (those I've read anyway), and then I always want to assign my favorite semi-gonzo freelance journalist of the moment to cover that story instead of Ronson. I guess I appreciate his unique taste in a good story but don't feel very satisfied with the resulting coverage. It's not bad, but I'd recommend grabbing from the library rather than buying it.

Meanwhile, with regard to your other question (which disappeared from Goodreads, not sure why), I am well and hope to hear that the same is true for you. For now, my only published poems -- aside from those scattered across the pages of various magazines -- are collected in "Reverb" (http://ow.ly/Gubsc), but I will have a new chapbook coming this year. More to come... I'll make some noise here and on Facebook and Twitter when I have specifics.

Best,
Jason

Chris Estey Yeah, keep me in the loop about your new works! And you know what ... I feel the same way about Jon Ronson. Superb topics, underheated delivery. I'm a fan, but not utterly mad about the boy's work. It's funny -- I don't actually own any, have read them all out of the library. So your comment hit home!

Jason Kirk Score!

Chris Estey Well, I read it and really dug it more than you did. I have qualms, but gotta say it actually dug into a lot of stuff I've been thinking about rather well. Thanks for the exchange though and best wishes with your poetry!

Jason Kirk Hey, a good reading is a good reading. No pressure to agree. Glad you liked it, Chris.
