Great advice. But unfortunately from a commercial perspective this doesn't always pan out. My books are written in the Universal Pen writing system and don't really fit into any one category. So I tend to alienate some readers. But I really believe in the stories and what I'm writing so that's what keeps me going.
So true: I still get a kick out of reading my own books.
