So many things broke my heart and made me angry reading Before We Were Yours. But what made me most angry, was not being able to go back in time and save those children. I so wanted to bring them home. You wrote it so perfectly. Realistically, they couldn't all be found. I think it would have taken away a little from the story if it was too much Happily-Ever-After. You walked that line perfectly in my opinion. I so wish I could have brought them home.
