Thank you for the detailed response. I've been finding your writing beautiful ever since I discovered The Windup Girl on the shelf of a local bookstore last year. It's also very emotionally affecting, as you discussed in response to another question.

In any case, your writing has been inspiring me to write more myself (particularly short stories). Time to set a regular writing period!

Thanks for this, Paolo. I've been wrestling with how to write whilst in full time work myself. It's going to be painful to have to give up one day of the weekend with my wife, but it looks like that's what I'm gonna have to do.
