Bookworm Hi, thanks for answering my question so quickly. I'm sorry to hear about the series poor sales. The second book was left with such a cliffhanger; I can't wait for the next book. I would love to spread the word about such a wonderful series. I wish you luck.

Nicholas Kaufmann Thanks!

Angraecus Daniels I just discovered the Trent series at the public library. I'm surprised to hear that they didn't sell well. Our library doesn't usually acquire books that aren't 'popular'. I'm also disappointed that the third book won't be coming out. I think the first two books in this series are better written than several other novels I've read recently, and I was looking forward to see how you resolve that cliff hanger.

Nicholas Kaufmann Thank you! I didn't say it won't be coming out. It will, eventually, even if I have to do it myself. But right now, consider it on hiatus unless those sales numbers increase. So please tell all your friends! And thanks again for the kind words!

Adam I think your sales numbers would increase if you didn't set the price so high $10 for an eBook is rather steep.

Nicholas Kaufmann Hi, Adam! I agree, that's too high for an e-book. But the author doesn't set the price, the publisher does. I as the author have zero control or influence over what they choose to price it at. That can be frustrating sometimes.

Adam Well, in the future I'd suggest trying to find a different publisher. Yes, I know that is much easier said then done--I just hate seeing publishers shooting great authors in the foot.

Jami How about using Kickstarter to self-publish it? Pretty please? I just found the series because Good Reads recommended the first and I started the second one last night and already know I want more! I'd also love a book all about Philip. (I have a soft spot for vampires. Unless they sparkle. Then I just want to bash their stupid little faces in.)
