I was so moved by Turner House as it was an address to the whole deteriorating housing situation in Detroit, and the hope amidst the visual environmental hopelessness. TH is one of my Top 10 ever. I’m from MI and so I get it.
I read The Wilderness a few weks ago and just finished Turner House. Angela Flournoy is a gifted writer and I am very happy to have found her novels. Her characters and dialogue are amazingly authentic, and the the character's inner thoughts equally as believable and relatable. (less)
