Aaron I'm sorry, I don't have much information. He is a relative/ancestor of mine. My father claims he was famous, but I can't find anything about him online. From my understanding, he road the shotgun position on stage coaches for years, which is where he got his moniker, then served as sheriff in several towns, like some other more famous sheriffs back then. I know he must have been in Juarez for a while, since he married a "mexican indian girl" when he was there. That girl was my grandmother's grandmother. I am trying to find out more about her, which is why I was hoping you had heard of him. I met a cousin, several times removed, who was an amateur historian, who had built up quite a collection of articles about Ben Williams, but I was young when I met him and I think he passed away a few years back. Housaman was the name.
Keep me in mind if you ever hear more about him.
