While there aren't necessarily inappropriate scenes, there are some hints and innuendo of adult ideas running as an undercurrent throughout the book. That being said, I have had people write and thank me for not making it too inappropriate for them to read. I think it's going to ultimately be a decision you and your mom have to make.
