What an amazing coincidence - I grew up in Winchester! My dad actually worked on the case when the arsonist burned down the castle. I was in grade school at the time and was so sad when it burned. One of my fondest memories is seeing the Christmas trees decorated from around the world each year at the castle. What a small world!
I don't think I knew the castle burned down! I was actually born in Winchester.
