Thank you Sandra! That’s wonderful to hear. The novel to which I refer here has been out for some time now - it’s called The Botanist’s Daughter and I hope you manage to track it down.

I bought The silk house on kmart one day and loved it. Then this year I got The forgotten letters of Esther Durrant on a bookfair, and finding it familiar I looked you up and realised you had written The silk house! So I'm now in the middle of Esther and after that I will look up your other books.
Your writing is "easy to read". I don't know how to explain it, even though there are words sometimes that I have to look up, it just flows. For someone like me who has English as a second language it is very important and makes the experience way more enjoyable,
