Hope they get it all sorted out Rupert - flood damage doesn't exactly enhance one's home life, especially if their car got damaged as well. Didn't know Lancaster was affected so badly.
Cheers, Mike.
My brother lives in the properties directly next to the river and it's a pretty vicious river at the best of times. Lancaster was the main place that had its electrical supply wiped out (BBC News says it's back on now). I also know that the train services from Preston going northward have mostly been either delayed or suspended since Saturday (my little brother travels to school by train so we were checking the timetables yesterday for him). As for my brother's vehicle: he has a van and usually parks it even closer to the river than what his home is so I'm presuming there's some damage. I'm due calling him so will hopefully find out soon.
