Thank you, Lorilyn, for your thoughtful answer. I am curious about your comment regarding giving away books leading to low ratings. It seems so counterintuitive! Thank you for the tip and all others!
If you give books away on
Amazon, just make sure you have at least several five-star reviews to counter the negative reviews someone will post. If your rating goes below 4.0 on reviews, you lose advertising ability. Amazon won't recommend your book, and most places you can pay to advertise it won't feature it. So don't make it free without some good reviews to protect you from negative reviews.
