I'm doing great, thanks for asking. Hope you're doing well too.
I have a site where I write poetry and analytical fiction critiques. Recently, I had a great experience talking directly with an author here on Goodreads—getting their perspective on their creative choices for their work added a whole new dimension to how I analyzed their work, and it's reflected in my critique. That inspired me to connect with indie authors directly before writing my pieces.
I came across When I Met Elena and was really intrigued by Matthew and Elena's dynamic—especially having the story anchored entirely in Matthew's POV with that reverse age-gap dynamic.
Would you be open to me reading the story, asking you 1 or 2 quick questions about your writing process/character choices, and weaving your perspective (quoting directly from our conversation) into the review I publish on my site?
(Just to be completely upfront: my reviews are analytical and balanced deep-dives rather than standard promotional blurbs, but my goal is always an honest, respectful engagement with the craft.)
