Jay Rose I’ve made this very observation recently with journaling; of all things, right?! There are certain thoughts or emotions that I enjoy memorializing through my journal. I truly believe that our memories are our most faithful modicum of nostalgia, and reflecting on the fondness of the past. Something precious and worthy of our time to pen those thoughts. At times, I will go weeks without writing a single word in my journal. It’s not as if there’s a shortness of things to write about, rather it’s as simple as getting started. Procrastination, if you will. The thing is, once I start with the intention to write a single thought or reflection, the ideas pour out in contrast and detail. That’s what journaling, writing even, should be about at its very core. I’m now trying to make this a daily habit. I only wanted to comment regarding this as just “get the words on the page” is an ideal way to summarize this concept! It’s about doing, putting thoughts into action, and the rest will just follow. Thank you for the pro tip!
