It's unrealistic. The female characters in your story have never been in love either. So I don't see how there's any equality.
I like the fact that they are virgins and the men have never been in love. After all it is romantic fiction.
The great thing is it's fiction and there's something out there for everyone's tastes. Like bear shifters. Not exactly realistic as far as I know. Teacher-student romances are a big trope and not exactly popular in "real" life as you'll get fired and go to prison. That's why it's fiction - an escape from real life.
It's demeaning to women. We live in a society in which there is no word to describe a guy who gets around but tons to describe a woman who does. I blame your ideologies that slut-shaming is such an issue today. By portraying female characters that are profoundly weak in experience, financials and otherwise, the author is really just providing terrible role models for the readers.
