Turbulent water often sends us to deeper understanding...I gravitate towards those who have a personal story to tell, for they are deep wells to drink from. Your bio draws me to your books.
Hi Carmel. Thank you and yes, so true. As a former foster child, I often found it difficult to articulate the depths of pain or loss. So, I began to journal and as time passed by, I realized the stories could very well resonate with others who have "deep wells to drink from," as you so eloquently put it. Thank you. That's what Black Butterfly is all about. By the way, I currently have a giveaway in play. Hope you enter to win.
Thank you, I will look for it. And I have one as well that runs until near the end of the month. As a person who worked with young people who had gone through such things, I have seen and heard much. Many were in foster care, or had lost contact with one of both parents, and some ended up in detention because of their pain. They taught me many things, the first of which was to look more deeply into their layered selves to find their pain. There is a song by Jason Gray called "If you want to love someone" which speaks to this. I suspect you would like it. I will look for your book.
