My most recent book that is out is The Reckless, the one coming out is The Heartless. But there are a lot of ARCs out there right now. I'm guessing you're talking about The Reckless. I my later books, I've taken to using an overall theme, and three plotlines that I write to. I use three plot lines because a singular one can easily cause what I call plot fatigue and kick the reader out of the story. Some times I use sleight of hand on which plot line is the main one. This is to cover my intent. So the main plot line in the Reckless is a snapshot of my career where was assigned to work bank robbery on an FBI team. (the first three bank robberies and the first contact with the FBI happened just the way I wrote them. The main investigation in the book that really happened was a husband and wife team who were recruiting teen youths from the inner city basketball courts and brainwashing them into believing they can't go to prison because of their age. Out job was to take them down without anyone getting hurt. The second plot line is the story of a good friend of mine who was killed in the line of duty. I also tried to write that one just the way it happened. This book was by far the most emotional one for me to write and in places the most difficult. Sorry for the long explanation. d.
