This is the reason I love teaching the book with my Seventh grade class!
Thank you Lois Lowry for being one of the best YA authors of ALL TIME.
I found The Giver at age 51! and LOVE it!
I was introduced to the Giver in school too. Loved this book and the sequels I'm reading now.
Ms.Lowry I can honestly say that you are my favorite author! I read "Number the Stars" in fourth grade, and "The Giver" in sixth grade. You are a true inspiration to me.
I wonder what would happen if someone expanded this to the concept of a world, which is a sort of community (at least now). :)
I love the books you write! Do you write series?
