Did you know that Blondie's maiden name was Boopadoop? That Dagwood gave up an enormous inheritance to marry her?

It is true. They were married in the funny papers in 1933, I think it was. Blondie was a flapper who worked as a secretary for Bumstead Enterprises. Dagwood was heir to the Bumstead fortune, but his parents did not approve of his marrying a mere flapper so they disinherited him. I'm not making this up!
