Yeah, Sonny, if HBO did it your blood pressure would go through the roof considering that when you watch GOT you get mad, imagine if it was your books. But, seriously, how amazing would an ICoS series be?
HBO or no HBO it would blow my mind if it was made into a series.. seriously, this needs to be done!
I am not sure that HBO turning your book into a series would be any good for your health... considering your record with GoT, we can safely say that you'd be raging mad about it if they did. And we want you healthy.
Netflix is a good choice...maybe. I haven't watched enough of their shows to say for certain how they'd handle the time of budget we'd need
LOL I don't know but I love that you're talking like it's an actual thing that could happen instead of one of those "yeah it'd be cool, same as it'd be cool to go to the moon." I've really only seen the first season of Orange is the New Black though so I'm not an expert on it but they do seem to do a good job of intense shows that feel very real and don't feel constrained in budget at all but also don't feel like it's excess spending... if that makes sense.
When I win the lottery - which is happening soon- the first thing I do is finance this: no strings attached , you two will have all the power and will make it amazing. The only caveat is this must be like the TV show that never ends!!!!!
Woohoo! Done and done, fra! We can add endless missions, and always alternate it with backstory for characters, or even follow some of the side characters here and there, so that shouldn't be a problem ;P
Well, to follow Francesca's idea of financing the ICoS series, I think that it should be something of a fan production. Putting money in something you have faith in is a very good investment.
Well, actually, I was thinking about a French web-site where you can produce unknown singers/music groups, and wondering if it could be possible for a TV show. I didn’t know about the Veronica Mars film. It was distributed in France only in VoD. But Yeah, kinda. Because, after all, WE are the ones dying to see an ICoS series so it should be normal to contribute to it. And having the authors as Artistic Directors/Scriptwriters/Casting Directors/etc. is just the surest way for it to be the real thing.
Ohh cool I hadn't heard of that, although that makes sense why I hadn't if it's only in France in VoD :) I feel like the likelihood of ICoS ever actually becoming a movie or show is sadly pretty low, but I agree with everyone that it would be awesome :) And I do agree with you that when things are made from books into some sort of visual media, having the authors be directly involved in the planning/directors/scriptwriters/etc would definitely be the best way to make sure it actually makes sense for the world the story comes from, and accurately represents the characters themselves. It'd be cool if anything ever did happen in the future
i would watch that if it wasn't horror like i don't want to see a detailed scene of sin ripping throats lool
