Candice Royer As a reader of every one of the books (yes, I'm completely biased lol!) I would read them all and in order! Each couple is a standalone, but each one has a special place in my heart. (I don't have book boyfriends. If I did, Stuart would be my book MAN, and I'd be stealing him from Mariska, who's very, VERY special to me.) Kenny and Slayde's story, One to Love, is so heart- wrenchingly beautiful. And each book lends just a touch of itself to the next. Yes, you will find what you need to know in the Melissa and Derek books; but the broader story is, of course, in the rest of the books, and because Derek plays such a pivotal role in One to Keep, One to Love, and One to Leave (roles not directly associated with his own story), you may want to read them to see him in action.
One Immortal is a Melissa and Derek novel, just in a different world, and it's phenomenal! Paranormal is not a genre I usually read, but I actually would LOVE more of this alternate world Tia Louise created for her characters. It was THAT good!!
And the other paranormal book, One Insatiable? Fantastic! I think she might have surprised herself writing paranormal so well!
Enjoy the books no matter what you choose! They're all superb!
