Thank you! And by the way, thank you for having thrown that element into your stories; it's given me almost as much pleasure as the dragons. :) I'm Jewish, and an amateur scholar of my people's history. It's rare to find us in SF or fantasy books, and even more rare to find alternate-history versions of us (let alone those in which we came out on top!). I didn't completely catch on to what you were doing until the reference to sitting shiva in book 1 -- which was probably where you intended -- but I've been having fun trying to catch all the bits and pieces after that. I very nearly missed where the Synedrion came from, until I actually pronounced it in my head, and then broke out in random gleeful chuckles for the rest of the day!
