Ruth Danes I have completed a trilogy which is alternative history and I have begun a spin-off set in the present day which will involve time travel. I got the idea when watching a costume drama with friends. One admired the ball scene and complained she had been born in the wrong era. My other friend asked if she really wanted to live in the early 19th century and pointed out that not everyone was wealthy, respected and healthy. That made me wonder what it would REALLY be like to travel back in time.

Paul Lloyd Hemphill I was frustrated with how teachers were making the study of American history IRRELEVANT. I made it relevant with my new book, INSPIRATION FOR TEENS, which I have not posted on Goodreads for n apparent reason.

Paul Lloyd Hemphill The book title came from two teenagers from Pittsburgh. They didn't like the previous title (Why You're Already A Leader). The idea came from frustration with what teens were NOT learning in their history classes.
