Wow that's sad and incredible. My aunt on my farher's side (father's sister-in-law) had an ancestor accused of witchcraft here in Hampton N.H. She was publicly executed. I don't remember all of the details but I believe there is a statue somewhere dedicated to her. I would love to learn about my family history but have to save up first. Thank you for sharing your story.
Wow, that is quite the story. How did your family end up with the cedar chest? Did they ship it back to his family after he escaped?
