No worries! The published version of the book clarified that in an early chapter because you shouldn't have to go back and look. :)

(Sigh. I'm so sorry about any confusion--and, um, less-than-positive-Jack-thoughts-- that may have resulted in that information not being more clearly stated in the ARC copies.)
