Thanks for liking my Pritchard review. In classes I used to invite imitations of books I taught, like Vonnegut's Welcome to the Monkeyhouse (in the 70's), which produced the best student stories. Also tried Naipaul's Miguel Street and others. My own recent verse honors the best parodist I knew, my title, Parodies Lost. The parodist, Tom Weiskel, my good friend as an undergrad (Pritchard's advisee) who became Harold Bloom's favorite young colleague at Yale. Bloom invited my PL sent to his home, saying, "I think of Tom every day. I still grieve him."
