They would be fantastic stories but no HEA... Sophy though there might be hope for the future... You would need an Historical New Adult category, LOL!

My eldest reads historical fiction almost exclusively (can't think where she gets it from!) and I've scoured everywhere and found her just about everything I can that's suitable for her age group. So if someone *cough* wants to write something for her to read, I certainly won't be complaining!

I can definitely understand wanting to find some age-appropriate reads for your daughter. Has she read Susanna Kearsley's books? They have a strong historical element, a lovely dollop of romance, but (if I recall correctly) no explicit love scenes.
