Hmmm, the story does have that kind of organic fluidity to it, now I see why. Still, stop wasting time talking to me and get on with the next one! Readers eh? Who needs them? :-)
Just finishing off revising two novels and drafting a third, then will get back to The Shadow Cycle book 2. Despite the grimness, it was fin to write--quite a departure from my usual heroic fantasy. And you are right: it does lighten up later on, and takes some (I hope) surprising turns...
