I loved the book and found it deeply moving. The ending was very powerful and so I agree with your thought to let it stand rather than writing a sequel. But I look forward to hopefully reading more books by you soon!
How about revisiting the world from a different (all new) set of characters eyes? How they viewed Zero Shadow day and what happened in their story? This way, you don't have to tamper with the greatness of the standalone story between Ory & Max and their clan, but you can give the readers more of this world that can be explored?

I like Adam's comment - I want to go back, but I don't want to destroy the mystery of what comes next for Max. If possible, do take us back for another fantastic ride!
