Hi Lois, I love that you are generous with your time and answer so many reader questions, but especially that you respond kindly to students such as Francine. Your books mean a lot to me. Debbie
Ah thank you.
It is sometimes a little hard to stay polite when they are so obviously teacher-assigned questions, not genuine fan questions -- I blame the teachers, but I can't reach them. I don't even want to do my own homework, let alone someone else's. I know I will later regret snapping at the kids, though.
The arrival of linkable online repositories of old interviews helps some, for example this GR section (unfortunately unsearchable, plus I've never used tags) and the one on the Vorkosigan Wiki under "Author Interviews".
(YA/kids' book authors I know have it much worse, really a major seasonal burden, but they get enough of these teacher-generated intrusions to have developed a system.)
