Hi Bill Kupersmith, I love your question and Megan's answer! It's an interesting niche discussion point for me, personally, as I've just completed a murder mystery manuscript, regarding a child gymnast who becomes an adult circus performer. While I have taken up gymnastics again, aged 52, I haven't started circus. But I think, like Megan says, you never stop being interested in that fictional landscape. BTW, a field hockey novel? Sounds fascinating!
