Hi thanks for your reply. What I mean, as some who has read a lot of 2nd chance romance, it’s always the heroine who remained celibate and and the hero who slept with others during separation, if that isn’t a double standard, I don’t know what is. They almost never make the guy celibate, why? Because authors think it’s unlikely the man will be celibate because they have needs? My question was why did she remain celibate for 10 years? And don’t you think it’s very unfair he moved but she loved him too much to be with another guy? Doesn’t the heroine deserve better in this scenario? There has to be some unconscious sexism if authors constantly make hero more promiscuous but heroine chaste.
