Thanks Abir. Actually, I didn't expect an answer so soon, or at all because writers do like their privacy. I'm reading "Folktales from India" edited by A.K. Ramanuajan (I like to keep a volume of shorts handy always) and it's just fascinating. It seems that multi-cultural writers are among the best, imo. One question: in "Evil" is it true elephants are used to dismember people? That was suprising! Your characters and atmospheres are wonderful, just like in the Golden Age of Mystery, in which characters and atmospheres ruled mystery novels, although a good plot has to follow. Now, onto the next Banjaree story: can't wait to meet his first love. He'll be heartbroken: aren't we all the first time around?
