I'll go (in no particular order):

I have already edited my list in my head 6 times, including at 3 am when I thought "What about The Replacements?!" The best I can do is call this a moment-in-time answer.

Speaking of hopeless fan boy, I saw The Replacements open for REM at St. Andrew's Hall way back in 1982 but, unfortunately, the plug was pulled on them after about six drunken songs, one of which was a killer version of Bad Company's "Can't Get Enough of Your Love." I thought they were great! Five years later, they played St. Andrew's again but it was just OK.
