David Jack Thanks Lara, and I pray all goes well with the surgery for your son. I had to google cochlear implants-sounds like it could be a really effective route to go down for impaired hearing, and I hope it proves so!

Let me know wha you hear back from the other moderator(s) and I can provide links if needed when the book is published in a few days-so you can check it out for later if it ends up being a summer read.

David Jack Hi Lara, do you think Donal Grant might still be a possibility for a summer read? No worries if you go with something else, but I wonder if those who enjoyed Sir Gibbie will want to discover how Donal matures and overcomes his heartbreak...

Lara Lee I am still wanting to read this book and would love to do it as a group read. I am struggling to find time for reading at all right now with this crazy Covid-19 world messing up my world. I am just now catching up on some old reviews. It may have to wait, but I will keep you updated if anything changes.

David Jack Okay, no worries. I'm sure you'll love DG when you get the chance read it, whether for a group read or not. It's a great shame that it's so overshadowed by Gibbie, because as good as the latter is, Donal's tale is just as compelling and arguably even richer from a spiritual perspective. Here's hoping we're getting somewhere near the end of covid-19, on both sides of the pond!
