Hi Lara, since people enjoyed your group read of Sir Gibbie (but also struggled a bit with the Scots) you may like to know that my translation of the sequel-MacDonald's longest novel-will be published next week. Would you fancy heading up another discussion for that one?...it wouldn't have to be my edition of course, but this time people could know in advance that there's help available.

Congratulations on the new translation! I think this is a great suggestion, but I won't be able to do this over the holidays. My youngest son is having surgery for cochlear implants in December, and I have lots of doctors appointments to attend. I do think this maybe a good idea for a summer read, though! I'll talk to the other moderator s about it. Thanks for the great idea!

Hi Lara. I'm launching a book later this month and saw that in June you were looking for guest bloggers. Is that still the case? My book is kind of DaVinci Code-ish sci-fi, but much of the action happens in flashbacks with the characters as teenagers. More info at stolenshroud.com. Thanks!
