I love writing whether or not I ever had any of it published. I live in my imagination so much that it's nice to invite people in for a cup of coffee every once in a while. I like how being a writer somehow legitimizes daydreaming as a real profession.

Hi Lara, since people enjoyed your group read of Sir Gibbie (but also struggled a bit with the Scots) you may like to know that my translation of the sequel-MacDonald's longest novel-will be published next week. Would you fancy heading up another discussion for that one?...it wouldn't have to be my edition of course, but this time people could know in advance that there's help available.
