Sorry, J.D. Couldn't wait for the contest or the sale. Went ahead and purchased. Too ecclectic for me to pass up. Thank-you for the offer; I am a researcher by nature and collect information. I particularly enjoy discovering new information (in this case, authors) and kept coming back to this one. Ages ago, I was caught up in mysteries and read everything I could get my hands on...but this just sounded 'more'. Wrapping up a couple of books; then on to this one. Looking forward to the read.
I hope your eager enthusiasm is rewarded by a good read. To some readers the "more" is tedious. To others it provides depth. One of my early readers told me after reading the book that she found some of the "detail" to be too much, but that she had thought about the characters in the book for a week. I'll take that. I can't promise you will have a similar experience. Maybe it will be even better!
