Aromantic

[close] For my fellow aros who struggle with finding good books without any romance or relationship drama in it!! I've noticed there aren't any specifically aromantic groups on here so I hope to get a little group here to promote reading books that either don't have romance or have an explicitly aro character. I would love to turn this into a book club of sorts so we could have a single book with no romance in it that we all read together and discuss it like a normal club! (We could also talk about how great the book is despite the lack of romance) Also a note: I'm very new to this whole group thing so if you want to give me some ideas and point out any mistakes I'm making, please do so! I really could use the feedback, and I'm going to try to promote this group like crazy!!

[close] ON HIATUS TLDR: We read queer female-identified, non-binary, and trans authors. We are indebted to live and read in amiskwaciwâskahikan. We’re Edmonton Lesbian+ Book Club. We hope the "+" lets bi, pan, ace/aro, queer, 2-Spirit, non-binary and trans book lovers know you belong here. Just to reiterate who we are: We welcome queer women/fem-identified, non-binary people of all ages, genders, ethnicities, religious backgrounds, and socio-economic classes. We also welcome the presence of their families, friends, and community members who get it. We wish to specifically extend a welcoming invite to Indigenous and Black women, disabled women, fat women, trans men and women, bisexual women, non-binary peeps, people of colour, and asexual women.
