[close] Each month a theme will be set with a suggested book for each age group (adult, young adult, 8-12 years, young children). You do not have to stick to your age group, it's just to provide a little something for everyone. Some months adult themes may be included, there will be a warning given prior if this is the case. If you add a book to the tbr please let a moderator know the key themes, genres and age range that it falls under.

[close] Secular Reading. Just a bunch of atheists getting together to read fine literature. What we'll read will be loosely democratic in nature, and it may be hella atheism like Dawkins, or whatever floats our boat.

[close] I am doing this for myself and any of those who would like to join me. I am interested in reading literature on religions and atheism and philosophy while exploring their interpretations and histories. My personal viewpoint is that of an atheist who grew up in a secular Christian home but I look forward to learning as much about and with all beliefs and traditions around the world. My current interests - although they change frequently - lie in atheism, Buddhism, Judaism, and the Islamic world which I hope to explore in the first few months of 2019. I look forward to learning and maybe encouraging some tolerance.
