[close] Welcome to Leeds Book Community 📚 Leeds Book Community is a welcoming space for readers who believe books are more than something to read—they are opportunities to think, connect, question, and have meaningful conversations. Our community brings together readers who enjoy discovering thoughtfully selected books across fiction and nonfiction, with a particular interest in memoirs, biographies, history, psychology, philosophy, personal development, social issues, science, business, culture, and books that explore the human experience. What We Do: We select books that offer something worth talking about and invite our members to read them before coming together for community discussions. Our conversations are designed to go beyond simple reviews, exploring the ideas, themes, questions, experiences, and perspectives that a book raises. Members are encouraged to share their interpretations, ask questions, disagree respectfully, and discover how differently the same book can affect different readers. Author Conversations: When an author is available and interested, selected community reads may include an opportunity for readers to meet the author through a live virtual conversation, including a 30–60 minute Zoom Q&A. This gives readers the chance to ask questions directly, learn about the author's ideas and creative process, and discuss the book from the author's perspective. Author Spotlight: Selected books and authors may also receive an Author Spotlight, giving our community an opportunity to learn more about the person behind the book and discover their work beyond the pages of a single title. Whether you're here to discover your next great read, meet fellow readers, participate in thoughtful discussions, or connect with authors, you're welcome here. Read deeply. Think openly. [close] This global discussion group has been designed to encourage debates about important and underreported issues of our era. All you need is an enquiring mind and a desire to gain or share “underground knowledge”. This is also a place to discuss the controversial topics explored in The Underground Knowledge Series (non-fiction books) by James Morcan & Lance Morcan as well as the Underground Knowledge podcast show.
