Maybe the reason that things band members have said have given me more confidence than stuff my mom has said is because my mom says “I love you just the way you are” whereas the band members are just like “be who you want to be it doesn’t matter what anyone thinks and it doesn’t matter if you change, just do what makes you happy” So you see I don’t like me the way I am so my mom’s thing is not helpful
