[close] Welcome to the Birthkeepers Bookclub 😀 If you are like me your 'must read' pile is growing and growing and time to read getting scarcer and scarcer. I am hoping that with some focus I might read some of these books. Every two months we will have a book recommendation. They might be newly published, birth classics, parenting 'gurus' fiction or poetry. The only thing they have in common is that they are in some way related to our roles as Birthkeepers. As you read you might want to consider: What surprised you? What dissapointed you? What might you share with parents? How might it affect your practise? Is it going on your shelf? In between times please share your book reviews, news of author events, new books on the horizon anything at all book related. See you soon xx

[close] Dear Readers, As part of my larger business goals and what I feel is my purpose in this world, I have started reading as many books about birth, self worth, business, and equality as I can get my hands on. There is so much amazing stuff out there! Beyond empowering myself, I want to lift up other women and business owners as well. Before I got too far into my own reading list, I decided to open this book club to others who enjoy reading to further themselves and their businesses. The plan is to select and read a book every month, then discuss the work during the month’s last week (to give everyone time to read it!). I know we in the birth photography community are generally busy with all things life. Go at your own pace, if the majority of people need more time we will reevaluate to the "turn around" time with each book. I will post some questions/quotes to get things started, but I would love for this to grow into an open discussion with and between you all. Whenever possible I hope to have the author, or another prominent voice on the subject, join the conversation! If this sounds like something you want to be a part of, please join and participate.
