This puts a twist on the classic adoption trope. Instead of the main character (Or any character) discovering they were adopted, they learn the opposite—they were never adopted at all. Their parents (for whatever reason) led them to believe they were adopted, only for them to later uncover the truth: they were biologically part of the family all along.
