Mary blesses, which means that she intercedes for us, justifies us and does not judge us before God. Her intercession for us shows her love. She is the Woman clothed with sun, with stars around her head and the moon under her feet, combating Satan. Satan's role is to judge, to accuse, to speak evil, to destroy and to rejoice over damnation.

Mary was as near to the land which was her dowry as any mother should be to the Christmas of her beloved children.
