[close] Martial arts are codified systems and traditions of combat practiced for a number of reasons such as self-defense; military and law enforcement applications; competition; physical, mental and spiritual development; and entertainment or the preservation of a nation's intangible cultural heritage. Although the term martial art has become associated with the fighting arts of East Asia, it originally referred to the combat systems of Europe as early as the 1550s. [close] This group looks at all the things that happen in our world that show us that there is more to our lives than physical reality. We also live in soul reality. We know when someone is staring at us. Some of us remember previous lives. Shamanic work can heal when Western medicine can't. Many of us have seen ghosts and angels. All of these things mean that there is more to our lives than the physical. This is not a religious group. Belief is not the focus.
