This does not exclude grief and loss. This also is not exclusive to non-fiction works, as we know that there are plenty of books, movies, songs, etc that discuss death, dying, grief, and loss. [close] I'm Heather Demetrios, author of the new YA novel, LITTLE UNIVERSES. It's about sisters and true love and the Big Questions. But mostly? It's about sisters. We love them. They drive us crazy. We can't live without them. They are the greatest love story never told. I've started this community for sisters (and besties / non-blood sisters) who want to do a buddy read of the book with their sis. I'll make sure my sister, Meghan, joins us too! I'll be answering questions, starting discussions, and do a virtual live author visit where we can hang out and talk about the book and, of course, about sisters! (You can join on your own too - we can fill in as your buddy!) Little Universes comes out on April 7th, but we can start diving in right now. [close] A group for death doulas, grief coaches, hospice workers, funeral directors, embalmers, celebrants, and anyone else who works in a death-related industry. Let’s share and discuss books related to topics of death, grief, as well as works of fiction that portray death and what comes after in an interesting light.

[close] Our book club meets with a new book on death, dying, and bereavement on the first day of each month. Requests can be taken for books that you would like to read and discuss. This is a digital format so each attendee can participate on their own schedule. The book club is moderated by our Aftercare Counselor who is available for questions and feedback throughout the monthly sessions.
