[close] El objetivo de este grupo es reunirse online, a través de ZOOM, para hablar y charlar sobre un libro de autores cuya lengua materna es el español, tales como Gabriel García Márquez, Mario Vargas Llosa o Isabel Allende, entro otro muchos más. Las reuniones en ZOOM se realizan generalmente el último jueves de cada mes. La próxima reunión será el 24 de agosto del 2023 a las 7PM hora de la zona central de los E.U.A. (Central Time ) o 6 PM hora de la Ciudad de México. La charla versará sobre la novela corta 'La invención de Morel' del escritor argentino Adolfo Bioy Casares.

QUICK TOUR: There are two basic parts to this group, our Group Bookshelf and Challenges. Our Group Bookshelf is where we show off titles we've read. Scroll to the bottom of this page to see what we've finished so far! You can click Add Books to add to our collection, but please only add books you've read as of today and onwards (no retroactively adding books you read in the past!). Please also tag books as "Spanish Books Read" or "French Books Read." To view current challenges, you must be on the desktop website, not the app. Click “Challenges” on the right of this group’s page. Join the challenge by declaring your goal # of books and set a name for your bookshelf. This automatically creates a bookshelf with that name on your personal Goodreads page. Once you've finished reading a book for the challenge, go to MY BOOKS, type in the title in the smaller of the two search bars that says SEARCH AND ADD BOOKS, mark it as READ and tag it under the bookshelf name you chose for the challenge. TIP: If you're reading a book in Spanish that you've already read in English, there's a way to add both editions to your bookshelf. Go to the book's page in English, scroll down to "More Editions" and click on the Spanish language edition. Then scroll down to the "Ratings & Reviews" section. There should be a right arrow ">". Click ">" and you will see the option "review THIS edition." That way you can keep multiple editions/translations of the book on your shelf.
