Think Stephen King, Robert McCammon, Peter Straub, Charles L. Grant, Rick Hautala, Dean Koontz, T.E.D Klein, Ramsey Campbell, just to name a few. Works that were written before the onslaught of teenage vampires falling in love, zombies taking over the world, and dystopian societies popping up everywhere. Do you miss those bygone, halcyon days of supernatural fiction, of waiting for the latest issue of The Twilight Zone Magazine to show up in your mailbox? Then come on in, the water's fine (unless you're reading The Raft by Stephen King, or Jaws by Peter Benchley)
