[close] There are quite a few Christian groups on Goodreads, so why another? As a member of some of those groups and not of others I couldn't help but feel the dialogue I wanted to carry on was misplaced in these groups. This group is created to discuss and think about living the example of Christ in our contemporary world while facing the true struggle of fear and doubt. This is not a place to sell your latest book, to enter into some fake prayer circle, to damage others through their doubtful and questioning periods, to be rude on the basis of theological beliefs.

[close] Cogitare means to think in latin. And that's why this bookclub was made. The main goal of this group is to become les ignorant about all the issues that are currently happening arpund the world. It is also its goal to think about the things we never think of. It's about to destroy the limits that society created and make new ones. We will read one book a month about a certain topic that's been chosen. Join us and let's start a revolutionary wold!

[close] This group is for all individuals who likes all positive aspects of life and living ,who like to read positive books and who like to empower others to do as such.

[close] The only way to know the future is by being aware of the past, the present, and its trends. Since we know we can't see the future, at least we can guess and narrow down our forecasts - but to do that, we need knowledge. We create this reading group to fill the gap between where we are now and the times to come. We aim to get a broader perspective, a bigger picture, a bird's view. A reading group focused on utopias and dystopias that make us think, books and essays that put us aware of our environment, futuristic innovations, and tales from the past, that teach us how and why the things we have today are like they are, and maybe help us to know how to change them. The group proposes to read around one book or essay (article, interview) per month, ~12 books in total. Books about finance, history, political and philosophical questions. Books about happiness and how to live a better life. Are these the tools to survive in this information society? We think so, if you don't agree, join the reading club and prove us wrong!
